The Philadelphia Inquirer's Matt Gelb reports that the Phillies have swapped recently designated for assignment reliever Sergio Escalona to the Houston Astros in exchange for minor league second baseman Albert Cartwright.
Cartwright, 23, posted a combined .827 OPS in 2010, including a .932 figure for Lancaster in the notoriously hitter-friendly Class-A California League. Also of concern: Cartwright's 29 errors at second base.
But the biggest concern: How hard it's going to be to not type "Alexander Cartwright" every time I write about him.
