PHI indicating to teams it would cost three small countries and two oceans to make a trade for Cole Hamels. Which means: Not being traded.

I am intrigued about what the asking price would be…..

This is absurd. Why are they even having this conversation? I would rather trade Cliff Lee and Chase Utley than Cole Hamels. Lock this man up for 5 years. Just do it. Don’t think about it.

I’ll take Liechtenstein, Andorra, and Qatar along with the Pacific Ocean and an OTBNL.
I haven't died. Right now I'm drinking a beer and eating fried chicken. What were you expecting, a funeral?- Yao Ming
Maybe throw in 3 Hawaiian islands too. The good kind, not the leper ones.

It’s a list of teams with the will (and maybe the prospects) to get him: Yankees (Manny Banuelos, Hector Noesi, Austin Romine, Mason Williams), Red Sox (Will Middlebrooks, Jed Lowrie, Brandon Jacobs, Felix Doubront), Cubs (Brett Jackson, Andrew Cashner, Junior Lake), Rangers (Martin Perez, Mike Olt, Jorge Alfaro, Roman Mendez), Tigers (Jacob Turner, Casey Crosby, Danry Vazquez, Gustavo Nunez), Rockies (Drew Pomeranz, Chad Bettis, Charlie Blackmon), Dodgers (Dee Gordon, Allen Webster, James Baldwin) and Nats (Brad Peacock, Derek Norris, Michael Taylor, Stephen Lombardozzi).
It also says it would be bad to trade him now, but if they did, they’d have to look for a starter that could step into the rotation now, bullpen help, middle infield help, and “athletes with upside”.
The only one of those prospect groups that would even get me to stop and think is the one from the Yankees. And even that’s not enough.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
