That list is a little out of whack

I agree with a lot on the list, but I don’t think Rizzotti will even be in my top 30, maybe not even top 40, let alone #8. Hell, I’d list Overbeck over Rizzotti. Pettibone #4 is also egregiously high.

Fair points

I fully admit that I am very high on Pettibone and would not change where I put him. Fair to say Rizotti should be lower since he is so old, but has been kept down because there is nowhere to put him. Has put up strong numbers almost everywhere. Thanks for the input.

Rizotti has absolutely no position except first base, where he is bad, and first base prospects have to be really, really, really special hitters.

Plus, Rizzotti’s very limited AAA and AFL #‘s are pretty atrocious (in his defense it’s a very, very small sample size).

Well, you may be vindicated on Pettibone, as BA seems to agree with your ranking. I think it’s probably 10-12 spots high, but maybe I need to go back and revisit his numbers and scouting reports to see what I missed.

I’d switch Galvis and Rizzotti one-for-one just for starters, and that still might be underselling Galvis a bit. Not that I think Galvis is a top 100 prospect overall, but within the Phils’ system he’s one of the best. Offensive upside isn’t huge, but enough for him to be a potenital starter, best case scenario a Vizquel type guy. He is not the #19 prospect.

I was thinking swap Rizz with Aumont.

That could also work, if you also move Galvis up about 13 spaces in addition.
