First off, this really should be a a fanshot. What you'll find below the jump is from this weeks Sports Illustrated (which I for some reason subscribe to) but I don't think I could've linked it so I'm just copying the text (I hope this isn't illegal) (Ed. Note: Yeah, you're lifting content. See the link to the story in the comments - WC). The piece is pretty short and is loosely written on the topic of our Hunter Pence deal. All in all Joe Sheehan gets his idea across but in doing so totally misvalues Pence and Neftali Feliz's WAR and loosely insinuates that the Phils front office used a moneyball type philosophy in evaluating the trade (something I'm pretty sure RAJ and co. are specifically known for not doing). Anyway, nothing infuriating about the piece, I just find it annoying when people try to sneak sabermetrics into mainstream media and totally foul it up.
