Tyler Cloyd (Partially) Perfect in Promotion

+
"The 24-year-old, who was scheduled to start for the Reading Phillies before receiving his first Triple-A promotion, struck out eight in six perfect innings as the IronPigs blanked the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, 3-0, on Opening Day in front of 9,722 fans at Coca-Cola Park. Cloyd, an 8th round selection by the Phillies in 2008, needed only 73 pitches (46 strikes) as he briskly worked through six innings. The Yankees lifted just three balls out of the infield against the Nebraska native as Cloyd induced several bad swings from the Scranton bats." Beast Mode, as the kids say. It's good to see some of the young 'uns making some noise. The more valuable they make themselves the more Rube can flip them for come late July.
