Given how poorly they've played of late, the following news comes as little surprise: Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that the Phillies are calling around the league gauging interest for left handed pitcher Cole Hamels.

Might be much ado about nothing, but at the very least Phillies General Manager Ruben Amaro, Jr. has to see what his options are around the league should the team fail to rebound in any meaningful way down the stretch.

Also, Cole Hamels was named to the National League All-Star Team, don't that beat all?
