Lehigh Valley 8, Pawtucket 5 (Game 1 of doubleheader)

B.J. Rosenberg GS, 4.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 HR, 9 GB, 0 LD, 4 FB
Joe Savery 1.1 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 HR
Phillippe Aumont 1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K

I thought minor league doubleheader games were only seven innings, but this one went the full nine for whatever reason. I assume Rosenberg started only because they needed to get through a bullpen game, although I don't know that for a fact. Several hitters had good games, including John Suomi and Steve Susdorf, who homered, and Michael Spidale and Tug Hulett, who had three hits apiece.

Lehigh Valley

J.C. Ramirez 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
Ryan Howard 0 for 2

RHP Ryan Duke has just been shooting up the ladder like a rocket. One night after making his AA debut, he made his AAA debut, throwing two shutout innings with two walks, two strikeouts. Maybe he was only there because of the doubleheader, I don't know.

New Hampshire 7, Reading 5

Mario Hollands 6.0 IP, 6 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 4 BB, 6 K, 2 HR, 10 GB, 2 LD, 5 FB (2 pop)
Jiwan James 0 for 3, BB, K, HBP
Cesar Hernandez 2 for 5, 2B, K, 2 errors
Darin Ruf 0 for 2, IBB, HBP, SF
Cody Asche 1 for 3, 2 BB, 2 errors
Leandro Castro 1 for 5, 2B

All six runs allowed by Hollands came on the two homers.

Brevard County 10, Clearwater 3

Austin Wright 5.0 IP, 4 H, 7 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, 2 HR, 4 GB, 1 LD, 9 FB (1 pop)
Zach Collier 1 for 4, CS
Harold Martinez 0 for 4, 2 K, 2 errors

Hagerstown 11, Lakewood 9

Hoby Milner (7th round) GS, 3.0 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 1 K, 1 HR, 3 GB, 2 LD, 7 FB (1 pop)
Tim Carver (19th round) 1 for 5, K, 2 errors (4 errors in first 3 pro games)
Kyrell Hudson 2 for 4, 2B, BB, K, picked off
Aaron Altherr 2 for 4, 2B, HR, BB
Maikel Franco 2 for 5, K
Josh Ludy (8th round) 1 for 5
Gauntlett Eldemire 1 for 3, BB, 2 K
Kelly Dugan 1 for 1

This was Milner's Lakewood debut. He had two appearances at Williamsport in which he struck out 7, walked 2, and gave up 1 run (earned) in 5.2 innings.

There were 6 wild pitches in this game.
