The time is here! I know you've been waiting for it all year! Yes, it's time for the 2012 All-Star Game! YAAAY!

Yeah, I'm not all that excited either. It's hard not to focus on Tony La Russa as the manager, since it's patently ridiculous (and I'm not just saying that because I hate his guts). Honestly, this is the stupidest thing about the 2012 All-Star Game. And keep in mind the sheer number of stupid things associated with this and any other ASG. There are a lot.

But I'm going to choose to focus on something far more enjoyable and meaningful: Carlos Ruiz catching R.A. Dickey, two unlikely first time All-Stars who both thoroughly earned their place in tonight's proceedings. No, I'm not crying! I just have something in my eye! *sob* Does anyone have a handkerchief?

Chooch isn't alone in Kansas City. Cole Hamels and Jonathan Papelbon join him as the other two All-Stars from the Phillies.
