While the team still waits on ace Roy Halladay's return from injury, the offense has now officially gotten the band back together: the Phillies have activated Ryan Howard from the disabled list, and optioned infielder Hector Luna to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Unless you've been living with the Taliban, you'll recall Howard's gruesome Achilles' tear on the Phillies' final play of the 2011 season. Something we do not need to rehash in this space.

Howard, 32, is second on the Phillies all-time home run list with 286, and holds the franchise single season home run record with 58 in his 2006 MVP campaign.

While it's probably too late to see the team vault back into contention for the 2012 postseason, it'll at least be fun to see the Big Piece back in the lineup.
