Darin Ruf hits solo home run for first Major League hit

The Minor League Home Run Champion of 2012 can now add a Major League home run to his resume. Darin Ruf hit a solo home run in the second inning of Nationals' starter Ross Detwiler to tie the game at one run apiece.

The Phillies would add four more runs in the third thanks to an RBI single from Ryan Howard and a three run home run from Carlos Ruiz.

The Phillies lead the Nationals 5-1 after four innings.
