Phillies Season Outlook

This will be a very exciting year in the NL East, to say the least. The Braves made some great offseason moves, highlighted by the Upton Brothers. The Nats, traded for Denard Span and signed Dan Haren. But, what about our Phils? We traded for Ben Reveere and Michael Young, which were smart deals. We got Mike Adaams. Which was also smart, if he can stay healthy. The experts are writing the Phils out before Spring Training even begins. But, I say not so fast. Our season rides on three guys. Ryan Howard, Chase Utley and Doc Hallady. We still have one of the best rotations in all of baseball, and by far the best in the NL East. If Doc can get back to form, and win say 15 games, that would be a major step in the right direction. If Ryan Howard can keep that leg healthy, and he says it is, he's going to bget back to that serious pop in the bat. When he plays a FULL season, he's never hit under 30 HRs and never drove in under 100. That's what we need for our big man. Chase Utley has been a rock in the middle of the order for years. The guy has a sweet swing, and can really drive the ball. But, are his knees completly healed? He says they are. Which is a great sign. We've got our dependable like J-Roll, Hamels and Papelbon. How will Delmon Young play in? He definitely provides the power right handed bad we need. What about Michael Young? Can he bounce back? This will be an interesting year for the Phils... But, we have the potential to contend. If we don't, we might have to blow this thing up. No one wants that. Let's Go Phils!!!
