Game 89: Nationals at Phillies, July 10, 2005

OK, I tried the fancy formatting, and it didn't work, so here are the basics:  Esteban Loaiza and his sub 4 ERA and only 7 HR allowed against Jon Lieber and his 5+ ERA and 22 HR allowed.  Hmmm.....  In the high heat of a Philadelphia summer day, today could be the antidote to yesterday's 1-0 pitcher's duel.  At least, that is, if the Phils' bats come to play.

A series win?  Two wins in a row?  Going into the All-Star break on a high note, only 7.5 games back?

Or, another series loss?  Going into the All-Star break with a sub-.500 record and almost 10 games back?

Today's game will decide.
