Phils acquire OF Dellucci

The Phillies (in what apparently is not an April Fools' Joke) sent P Robinson Tejeda and minor leaguer (and brother of Hank) Jake Blalock to the Texas Rangers for David Dellucci.

On first blush I don't like this deal, although it might signal other things.  Is Burrell hurt?  Is Abreu about to be moved?

Blalock was pretty much a lost prospect in my estimation.  Tejeda, however, showed a fair amount of promise at the big league level last year, but apparently never really convinced the team that he could overcome his significant wildness.  And Dellucci becomes that very important fifth outfielder/left-handed bat off the bench.

It's late and it's Saturday, so maybe there'll be more tomorrow.  But I basically think that the Phillies overpaid for what was a career year for Dellucci last year.
