The Phillies ended the Ryan Franklin Era today, dealing the Home Run Enthusiast to the Cincinnati Reds for a player to be named. Update: RHP Zac Stott completes the deal.
With Franklin at the Great American Ballpark, an even more homerlicious stadium than the now much more fair Citizen's Bank Park, the Reds should begin distributing helmets to all of the fans in the outfield bleachers.
Although I've been very, very critical of Pat Gillick, at least he has the ability to admit he made a mistake... even if that admission comes way, way too late, and anyone with a brain saw it coming from a zillion miles away.
