Alright, let's try this again...
After a sound Game Three thrashing in a matchup that looked bad for the Phillies about a week ago, the Phillies will attempt to stop the bleeding tonight and keep the Dodgers from evening the series at two games apiece. They will do so behind the rather stout right shoulder of Joe Blanton, who pitched exceptionally in the Phillies Game 4 NLDS clincher against the Brewers. The Dodgers send NLCS Game 1 starter/loser Derek Lowe to the hill on three days rest, relying on the old baseball adage (not really backed up by any empirical evidence) that sinkerball pitchers do their best work on short rest.
Even if the Phillies lose tonight, remember that the Dodgers still have to win at least one game in Philadelphia to end the Phillies season.
