A dreary day in the Delaware Valley, that'll hopefully end a lot brighter, with a strong performance from lefty Jamie Moyer in his first ever World Series start.
He's opposed by ALCS MVP Matt Garza, whose comments this week, while the Phillies deny it, have probably become bulletin board fodder:
"Facing that Phillies lineup compared to facing the Red Sox lineup, the Tigers' lineup or the Yankees' lineup, you get a little bit of a break with the Phillies' lineup."I hope they're not angry, but if they are, I hope it allows them to focus and they aren't too emotional.
I really want them to clobber this guy now.
A win tonight would allow the Phillies to have Hamels go for, at worst, a third victory in the series in Game Five. So yeah, it's kind of important.
