Jamie Moyer pitches effectively into the seventh inning, Ryan Madson and Brad Lidge go five up, five down, Jimmy Rollins hits a key two-run double. This is not a repeat from 2007 or 2008. Are things returning to "normal?"
Rollins is 5 for his last 11, while Shane Victorino and Pedro Feliz had three hits apiece. Moyer and the bullpen kept the Mets 3 through 6 hitters 0 for 16.
The Phillies have won a home series for the first time in God knows how long, and face the daunting task of scoring a sweep today versus Johan Santana.
Not much else to say here -- it was a clean game, if not a particularly exciting one. The kind of game the Phillies used to win, and need to win, to make the postseason.
