The season series between the rival Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets begins tonight at Citizens Bank Park.
The Mets, coming off a 2009 season that can be charitably described as "disastrous," just wrapped up a scorching 9-1 homestand. The Phillies, for their part, are limping home from a 4-5 road trip, only partially salvaged by Thursday's thrilling 7-6 victory against San Francisco.
Kyle Kendrick gets the start for the Phillies, so expect some first inning runs. He's opposed by Jon Niese.
