The Phillies try to extend their winning streak to five games this afternoon in the middle game of their fake-road series vs. Toronto. Cole Hamels (3.75 ERA, 4.51 FIP, 3.72 xFIP) pitches for the Phils against Jays righty and Tommy John survivor Shaun Marcum (3.24 ERA, 3.61 FIP, 4.09 xFIP). While Hamels has pitched poorly in day games for most of his career, that split has been far less pronounced thus far in 2010.
Placido Polanco will have the day off today in favor of Juan Castro. Ross Gload will be at first, with Ryan Howard at DH.
