The Phillies look to sweep win a third straight game against the San Diego Padres at home this afternoon, as not-quite-righty Joe Blanton (1-4, 5.68 ERA) matches up with righty Kevin Correia (5-4, 4.55 ERA). Signs that the death-like grip this slump has had on the team are beginning to lift, as the Phils have seen double-digit hit games, produced runs over the number 3, and hit actual home runs. And if Gramps can do it on a sultry June night at age 47, what's your excuse at age 30, or 38, or....

As I type, a thunderstorm will likely factor into today's proceedings, which, given Cupcake Joe's proclivity to melt down in the fifth inning and beyond, could be good, could be bad. But I feel confident that there will be bullpennery.

Whether the tarp is on or off, discuss the game - or Draft Eve - or a big Game 5 (h/t to the Union for coming into the game last night in Chicago in Flyers jerseys) - below.
