I would measure modest progress tonight as the Phillies "Not getting their asses kicked." Respectable, dignified defeat perhaps? I'm a simple man.

The Phillies face lefty rookie star Jaime Garcia, he of the 2.27 ERA but likely impossible-to-maintain 3.3% HR/FB rate. He'll be opposed by Joe Blanton, he of the ghoulish 6.21 ERA and cramp-inducing 10.7% HR/FB rate.
