Domonic Brown (#3), Four Other Phillies Farmhands On Keith Law's Top 100 Prospects List

ESPN's Keith Law released his Top 100 Prospects list today, and things look pretty good for the Phillies (ESPN Insider access required).  I highly recommend logging in to read all of Law's enlightening comments.

On the heels of ranking the Phillies' minor league system as the fifth best in all of baseball, five Phillies prospects were placed on the list, including Domonic Brown at number three overall.  Brown trails only Millville, NJ native Mike Trout of the Angels, and Bryce Harper of the Nationals.

The other Phillies prospects ranked:

Singleton #27
Cosart #34
Colvin #77
May #93

Notably, all four spent all or parts of the 2010 season on the South Atlantic League Champion Lakewood BlueClaws.

Law also released his Top 10 prospects for each organization:

1. Domonic Brown, RF
2. Jonathan Singleton, 1B
3. Jarred Cosart, RHP
4. Brody Colvin, RHP
5. Trevor May, RHP
6. Sebastian Valle, C
7. Jesse Biddle, LHP
8. Aaron Altherr, OF
9. Jiwan James, CF
10. Julio Rodriguez, RHP

So, what was that about "gutting the farm system" to get Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, and Roy Oswalt?
