And it's the rubber game in this weekend series against the Braves, as the Phillies look for an encouraging road series win against a key division rival this afternoon in Atlanta. Kind of silly that a guy can need redemption after one bad start (on the heels of a tremendous season), but that's where we are right now with Cole Hamels, and the infamous "boo-fest" from his first start in Philadelphia last week.
Derek Lowe, the Braves' Opening Day starter, gets the ball for Atlanta, on the heels of two excellent starts so far this year. Third start already? Guess that whole "Cole Hamels will win the Cy Young Award because he's going to match up with other teams' 4th and 5th starters all year" thing is out the window, huh?
