Zeroing In: Phillies at Padres Game Thread, April 23, 2011

It has been 23 innings since Phillies pitching last allowed a run to score. With Joe Blanton taking the mound, it is unlikely that the streak will last much longer; in his last 34 regular season appearances, he has registered zero scoreless outings. But if there is any team that he could look to break that streak against, it's the light-hitting Padres.

Blanton will be opposed by righty Tim Stauffer.

Ryan Howard will homer tonight. I promise.
