The night after a bizarre game, we'll be treated to another matchup that might be even more laughable in hindsight. Braves prospect Julio Teheran makes his big league debut tonight in Philadelphia, and will be opposed by Kyle Kendrick in a spot start for the recently-disabled Roy Oswalt.
A few times a year we're treated to a terrific Kyle Kendrick performance. Hopefully this will be one of those nights. And hopefully Teheran's nerves get the best of him. We're going to see a lot of this kid in the future.
Kyle Kendrick has struck out two (!) batters in 13 innings this season, walking eight. I need a drink.
