Okay, so the Phillies aren't around, but if you're a baseball fan, this is fun as hell. Sure, it might be like a hot fudge sundae -- delicious and gratifying, but ultimately counterproductive -- but I'm digging in.
St. Louis Cardinals vs. Atlanta Braves - 5:00 p.m.
Former Phillie Kyle Lohse starts for the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. against the Atlanta Braves, hoping that Kaz Matsui is nowhere to be found. Never forget.
Kris Medlen, who's been sickeningly good for the Braves in the second half, starts for the Braves.
Baltimore Orioles vs. Texas Rangers - 8:30 p.m.
The Orioles, one of the best stories in baseball in 2012, look to take one more step against the two-time defending American League Champion Texas Rangers later tonight in Arlington. The Rangers, who led the American League West almost wire-to-wire, found themselves knocked into the Wild Card round by the surging Oakland A's.
"Rookie" Yu Darvish gets the ball for the Rangers against veteran lefty Joe Saunders for the Orioles. Mismatch? Maybe. But baseball is weird.
