Todd Zolecki from MLB.com reports that multiple sources confirm that the Phillies have acquired outfielder Ben Revere from the Minnesota Twins via trade.
Revere, 24, is your classic no-power speedy outfielder, with a career stolen base rate around 79%, quality center field defense, and most importantly right now, cheap cheap cheap! Not even arbitration eligible until 2014, under team control until 2018. His .294/.333/.342 line in 2012 tells you most of what you need to know about him, offensively.
Of course there's a cost: Pitchers Vance Worley and prospect Trevor May are on their way to the Twins, reports CSNPhilly.com's Jim Salisbury.
Vance Worley and Trevor May to Minn for Ben Revere. He will be Phils' CF.

The Phillies pursuit of outfield help at the Winter Meetings had been mostly thwarted to date, with B.J. Upton signing with the Braves prior to the commencement of the Meetings, and Angel Pagan returning to the Giants on a four year deal. Even Shane Victorino is no longer an option after his deal with the Red Sox.
