Phillies Farm Update

This updates the minor league assignments posted here earlier this month.

I've added a quick single-number update for each player: OPS for hitters, and ERA for pitchers.

Quick highlights for LV and Reading, with links for Clearwater and Lakewood stats:

Lehigh Valley

- Domonic Brown is hitting .265/.311/.361, with 4 errors in the early going
- Kratz and Overbeck are off to good starts
- Frandsen, Blanco, Montanez, and Podsednik are not
- Among pitchers, Austin Hyatt has a respectable ERA despite only 5.9 K/9 and 4.2 BB/9
- Jake Diekman has K'd 17 and walked 3 in 11 innings

Reading

- Sebastian Valle's hitting .283/.333/.383, and the separation between his BA and OBP is encouraging; 5 walks in 66 PAs is an improvement
- Hernandez, Gillies, and James are all in the low-mid .700s in OPS, but Castro is hittiing only .214/.240/.329
- Miguel Abreu is 17 for 34 with some power (and 0 walks)
- Journeyman infielder Tug Hullett is hitless in his first 24 at bats (28 PAs)
- Trevor May has K'd 26 in 23 innings, while walking 8
