R-Phils had a 5-2 lead when May left the game, but Jordan Whatcott gave it away in the 6th when Orioles prospect Jonathan Schoop hit a grand slam. But Bowie gave it right back in the 7th with a K/WP, an infield single, a walk, and two errors. R-Phils pitchers walked 11 batters but they somehow still won.

Rehabbin' Laynce Nix hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 8th, to bring the Threshers back from behind. Mike Nesseth gave up two singles to start the 9th and loaded the bases on a one-out IBB, but wriggled out of the jam by inducing a GIDP.

Clearwater had six hits: five singles and the Nix homer. All six came in the 7th and 8th. In the first six innings, they managed only two baserunners (both walks by Nix).
