Lehigh Valley vs. Toledo ppd.

Due to "unsafe field conditions and impending weather." The teams will play a doubleheader today. It will also be Dog Day at the ballpark, at which dogs are asked to ensure that all potty breaks are cleaned up by their owners

Harrisburg 5, Reading 2

Austin Hyatt 6.0 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 7 K, 4 HR, 3 GB, 1 LD, 12 FB (4 pop)
D'Arby Myers 0 for 4, BB, 2 K
Cody Asche 1 for 4, 2B, BB, K
Darin Ruf 1 for 5, HR, 2 K
Leandro Castro 2 for 4
Tommy Joseph 3 for 3, HBP, threw out 0 of 1
Jiwan James 2 for 4, 2B, K

Hyatt was actually cruising through five. He even set down nine straight at one point, including four straight punchouts. Then Harrisburg went back-to-back-to-back to begin the 6th and that was that.

Clearwater had an off day.

Lakewood 6, Delmarva 4

Hoby Milner (7th round) 6.0 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 HR, 1 SH, 5 GB, 5 LD, 11 FB (3 pop)
Felix Santos 2.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
Zach Cooper (15th round) 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K
Aaron Altherr 1 for 5, 2B
Kelly Dugan 0 for 4, BB
Maikel Franco 4 for 5, 2 2B, HR, K
Brian Pointer 0 for 3, BB, 3 K
Josh Ludy (8th round) 1 for 3, 2B, HBP
William Carmona (11th round) 2 for 4, 2B

BlueClaws walk off on a two-out two-run homer by Franco, who had, um, a pretty good game. Kind of weird that Milner pitched 8 innings in this game given his other numbers: he faced 35 batters! But maybe Delmarva was swinging early and often and his pitch count was low, who knows.

Short season team stats after the jump...

Williamsport 6, State College 4

Ulises Joaquin 5.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 0 HR, 1 HBP, 8 GB, 1 LD, 7 FB (3 pop)
Luis Gonzalez 1.2 IP, 1 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 0 HR
Ramon Oviedo 2.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
Roman Quinn 1 for 3, 2 HBP, 2 SB
Cameron Perkins (6th round) 3 for 3, BB
Christopher Serritella (4th round) 3 for 4, 2B
Larry Greene 0 for 3, BB
Zach Taylor (12th round) 0 for 4
Logan Moore 0 for 3, HBP, PB, threw out 0 of 2
Jiandido Tromp 1 for 4, K, SB
Tyler Greene 1 for 4, 2B, K

Nice comeback win for the Crosscutters. After State College took a 4-2 lead with three runs in the top of the 7th, Williamsport responded with three in the bottom of the inning on an RBI single by Quinn and a 2-RBI single by Serritella (on which Perkins scored from first base). Tyler Greene knocked in an insurance run in the 8th. Quinn has been HBP'd four times in the last two games.

GCL Phillies 6, GCL Phillies 3

Franklyn Vargas 5.0 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 1 HR, 1 HBP, 12 GB, 2 LD, 1 FB

Keivi Rojas 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
Delvi Francisco 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
Angelo Mora 1 for 4, BB, K
Carlos Tocci 1 for 3
Andrew Pullin (5th round) 0 for 4, BB, 2 K
Zach Green (3rd round) 1 for 4, 2B
Willians Astudillo 1 for 4, 2B, 0 K
Dylan Cozens (2nd round) 0 for 3, BB
