Tommy Joseph 0 for 4, 3 K, threw out 0 of 1
Leandro Castro 1 for 4, 2B, K
D'Arby Myers 2 for 4

Colvin was very shaky in his first 1.2 innings (3 BB, 1 K, 1 H, 1 HBP), but then settled down the rest of the way, even setting down 10 straight batters at one point. Asche turned the game around in the 5th with a three-run homer, erasing what was then a 2-1 deficit.

Lakeland 4, Clearwater 3 (10)

Perci Garner 5.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 6 GB, 2 LD, 5 FB (1 pop)
Kenneth Giles 2.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K
Mike Nesseth 1.0 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 0 K, 0 HR

Tyson Gillies 2 for 4, 2B

Harold Martinez 0 for 2, BB, K
Edgar Duran 1 for 4

Nesseth blew a three-run lead in the 8th, but it was helped along by a very costly fielding error by 2B Albert Cartwright. Both hits that Nesseth allowed (as well as all the outs he recorded) were on grounders. Murray's dominant scoreless streak since being promoted to Clearwater also came to an end. He pitched a perfect 9th, but came back out for the 10th and lost it.
