Philadelphia Phillies 2013 Schedule: Open in Atlanta, Home Opener vs. Royals on April 5

Major League Baseball has released the 2013 schedule. Go look at the Phillies' schedule here!

Of note:

* The Phillies open on the road with three games in Atlanta on April 1, 3, and 4.

* Taking one on the chin for the rest of the league, the Phillies play their home opener on Friday, April 5th against the Kansas City Royals. With the Houston Astros moving to the American League West in 2013, there will always be one Interleague Game going at any given time. You're welcome, MLB.

* Two mid-week games at Jacobs Field against the Indians, April 30-May 1.

* The Phillies and Red Sox will have a weird "two-and-two" series from Monday, May 27th through Thursday, May 30th, with the Phillies playing in Fenway Park on the 27th and 28th, and the Phillies hosting Boston at Citizens Bank Park on the 29th and 30th.

* Hosting the White Sox in Philadelphia right before the All-Star Break, July 12-14.

* Philadelphia plays three games weekend away games against the Detroit Tigers, July 26-28.

* Coming full circle, the Phillies close out their regular season schedule with four games in Atlanta, September 26-29.
