Hamels knocked out after five innings, Phillies lead 6-3

New, 4 comments

Cole Hamels' lost his command, becoming visibly flustered in the fifth inning, allowing two runs to allow the Nationals to narrow the Phillies lead to 5-3.

The Phillies would widen the lead in the bottom of the sixth on a solo home run from Domonic Brown, his fifth of the season. They would load the bases with one out, but fail to score again.

After six, the Phillies lead the Nationals 6-3.
