Voting Open for Rookie & Minor Leaguer of the Year

Our last two categories look to the children that will one day shape this club we all love. Or, you know, probably not.

Ooh, look at you fielding that ball, Cody Asche! Michael Young must be so jealous.

As some contestant from American Idol probably once sang, I believe the children are our future. The final two categories in our 2013 awards series are about the children. Some of them are (or recently were) literal children, like young J.P. Crawford, age 18. And some are figurative children, like the aged Darin Ruf who is 27 years old. But in the eyes of baseball they are but children. They are baseball babies, the future of the Phillies.

Well, they're the future of some team. Let's be honest. /waves at Jarred Cosart

Today, I am asking you to vote for rookie of the year and minor league player of the year. Starting Monday, I'll be revealing the results of all the previous categories AND the results of the staff awards polls. Until the Phillies give us something new to talk about, we have no choice but to look back at the season we just lived through. The season we survived. We all should be awarded certificates! Where's our award!?

Please vote below, and don't forget our other categories -- there's still time to be counted for these incredibly important, consequential, necessary awards. Without them, how else would we know who was the best and who was the worst!?
