Bullpen Madness: Pirates at Phillies Game Thread, April 25, 2013

Maybe the bullpen should be eliminated from today's game entirely. It's a thought.

Drew Hallowell

It happens to every reliever. They just have an off night. Last night seemed to be an off night for Mike Adams. So it would be really super for Cliff Lee, today's starter, to go the distance. Don't make Charlie Manuel think about relievers at all, which isn't his strong suit anyway. I think it would be better that way, don't you?

I want to call him Cliffer, like Chipper only less childish (and infinitely more bad ass). Cliffer didn't have the best start last week, so I expect him to bounce back against the Pirates. The Phillies "offense" will face Pirates starter James McDonald. Lord knows how that will turn out.
