The Phillies close the book on April tonight as they start a two game "series" against the Cleveland Indians and welcome Delmon Young to the team for the first time.
That's right. The day has finally come. Delmon Young is playing for the Phillies.
I want to hate this. I'm desperate to. This particular offseason acquisition was my least favorite -- I hated it then, and I hate it now. But I will not hate on Delmon Young. Why? Because he hasn't played a single inning yet. I'm going to give him the same chance I'd give any new Phillies player. He can prove me and the world wrong, or he can prove us right. If he proves me wrong, then the Phillies benefit and I stop making jokes about him being horrible for awhile. If he proves me right, then we should all cry havoc and let slip the hogs of war.
Roy Halladay takes the mound tonight, hoping to continue his streak of good starts. Zach McAllister is starting for the Indians.
