Cliff Diving: Mets at Phillies Game Thread, April 9, 2013

Yeah, I'd dive for Cliff.

He's a man. A man alone. A man on a mission.

Cliff Lee.

Cliff Lee will save us.

It's just as true now as it was in 2011. Now, is it unwise to pin all of our hopes on to Cliff Lee? Probably. Is it unfair to Cliff Lee that we pin all our hopes on to him? Yes. But what options do we have left? We've already pinned a ton of hopes on to Chase Utley and now there's no more room. We tried pinning them on to Ryan Howard and he struck out so hard that they all came flying off.

Cliff Lee, the only pitcher on the Phillies that I currently trust, faces the Mets and Dillon Gee this evening. Gee-sus Christ, I hope the Phillies suck less tonight.
