This is where we are, cats and kittens. This is where we are. We could pretend that things are fine, that everything will work out, but I think that would be a stupid thing to do. Maybe it's just a funk. Or bad luck. Maybe someone accidentally put on one of Cliff Lee's shirts, or mistakenly talked to Roy Halladay on game day. Or perhaps this is just The Way Things Are now. Regardless of whether it's temporary or permanent, we have to deal with it.
Luckily Summer Anne Burton, Queen of Cute Animals and senior editor over at BuzzFeed, has provided us with an image to help us through.
"This puppy understands."
He sure does.
Kyle Kendrick starts tonight, and I'm legitimately excited to see him pitch. I want to see him continue to kick ass and take names. You get down with your awesome self, Kyle Kendrick. Alex Sanabia is starting for the Marlins, or perhaps it's one of Jeffrey Loria's expensive dress shoes, because they are dropping like flies in Miami. Is it the weather? The stadium? Or the fact that the varsity baseball team from Bangor, Maine could probably beat them right now? The world may never know.
