Stuck: Mets at Phillies Game Thread, June 22, 2013

For better or for worse.

USA TODAY Sports

Jonathan Pettibone has stuck in the Phillies rotation. I'm not sure if I would have predicted that. Stuck makes it sound bad, though. I don't mean it that way, I guess. He has a 4.40 ERA (which is what Cole Hamels was at before his start last night) and he's 3-3. Not a stud by any measure, but by no means a disaster. He's managed to hold down that bottom-of-the-rotation spot decently.

Regardless, he's what they have. As evidenced by the call-up of JC Martinez (who has been pretty stinky this year), the Phillies are scraping the bottom of the barrel in AAA. I'm just thankful Pettibone hasn't been horrifically bad. He's too cute to hate.

Pettibone and the Phillies take on Dillon Gee and the Mets today. Discuss the game in the comments below.
