Does anyone remember Harvey in the Morning on Magic 103? Back in the late 80s/early 90s, he was the morning DJ on WMGK. When my family moved to Maine in 1990, we struggled to find a replacement for Harvey in the Morning. We never really did. We fell into listening to early 90s country music and a lot of oldies, and Harvey remains the only morning DJ in my memory. (He was also the announcer on Nickelodeon's Double Dare.)
Anyone else remember this commercial?
What does this have to do with baseball? Well, nothing. But Matt Harvey pitching today gave me an excuse to dig up this long buried memory and share it with you fine folks.
Today's pitching matchup seems a little unbalanced. Matt Harvey and his otherworldly 2.16 ERA is taking on the Phillies own John Lannan, recently removed from the disabled list and the owner of a 5.49 ERA. Matt Harvey is very very good, and John Lannan is a 4th/5th starter. So yeah, it's a little uneven. Let's hope some of yesterday's momentum, excluding the seventh, eighth, and top of the ninth inning, follows them into today.
