USA TODAY Sports

Durham 6, Lehigh Valley 5

Tom Cochran - 5 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, HR, 4 GB, 7 FB
Cesar Hernandez - 1 for 4, K
Cody Asche - 1 for 4, 2B, RBI, K
Darin Ruf - 1 for 4, R, RBI, 2 K
Cameron Rupp - 1 for 4

Cochran let the game with the lead, but the bullpen wound up blowing it courtesy of Zach Miner and Greg Smith. Miner was handed with the loss. It wasn't a great day for the Iron Pigs at the plate, as no hitter had more than 1 hit or one base more than twice. After dropping the first two, Lehigh will look to salvage the series tonight.

New Hampshire 7, Reading 1 (Game 1 Doubleheader, continuation from 6/25)

Jesse Biddle - 2 IP, H, BB, 1 GB, 2 FB (6/25)
Juan Sosa - 3 IP, 6 H, 6 R, 1 ER, BB, 2 K, 6 GB, 2 FB
Tyson Gillies- 1 for 4, 2B, K
Maikel Franco - 1 for 4, HR (2 errors, throwing and fielding)
Sebastian Valle - 0 for 3
Zach Collier - 0 for 2, BB

Things imploded early for Reading with 3 errors in the continuation of the 3rd inning, allowing 5 runs to score. That would be it for Reading as they couldn't muster any offense against Matt Wright and Dustin Antolin. On the bright side, Franco hit another HR and hasn't struck out yet in AA.

New Hampshire 7, Reading 4 (Game 2 Doubleheader)

David Buchanan - 4.2 IP, 6 H, 6 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 3 K, HR, 7 GB, 1 FB
Tyson Gillies - 0 for 4, K
Maikel Franco - 2 for 4, RBI (throwing error)
Anthony Hewitt - 2 for 4, R, 2B, K
Zach Collier - 1 for 4, 2B, K

It didn't go well in the night cap of the doubleheader for the Fightins. Franco continued his hitting streak, but the errors piled up for the young Dominican (3 in one day). With the loss, Reading gets swept in the 4 game series. They will hope for better results in the 3 game set with New Britain.

Delmarva 7, Lakewood 6

Jonathan Musser - 5 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 5 K, 5 GB, 3 FB
Carlos Tocci - 1 for 5, R, RBI, 2 K
Mitch Walding - 0 for 2, 2 BB, K, CS
Larry Greene - 1 for 5, R
Brian Pointer - 2 for 4, R, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 K

With a 6-2 lead going into the bottom of the 8th, it looked like the Blue Claws would be cruising towards victory. Reliever Daniel Carela replaces Jeb Stefan and promptly allows back to back solo home runs, a single and then a walk before being pulled. Delvi Francisco comes in to stop the bleeding, but then commits a throwing error which then allows another run to score and moves two runners into scoring position. A ground out and a sacrifice fly bring in runs 4 and 5 around to score. Needless to say this was a deflating effort.
