I would love to bask in the glory of last night's game. Spend time in its reflected glow, curling up in it like a cat in a sunbeam.
But we can't. Tonight's matchup is too awesome. We can't waste time reminiscing about a game in the past.
Tonight, Cliff Lee takes on Hyun-Jin Ryu. Lee is very very good, even when he's having his leads blown by Papelbon or other members of the bullpen (or even himself). Ryu also happens to be very good -- he's adapted well and easily to the Majors after spending the previous seven seasons pitching for the Korea Baseball Organization.
Last night ended up being all about hitting, and that's exciting. But I also love a good old fashioned pitchers' duel. (And I also love Cliff Lee. PLEASE DON'T GO.)
