OM NOM DOM: Domonic Brown Named NL Player of the Month

New, comments

I have a feeling that one month isn't enough to contain Dom Brown's awesomeness. June better watch out.

"You know, I think I'm going to be awesome today. Yup. That's what I'm gonna do."

In news that has even single-celled paramecium saying "Yeah, I knew this was coming", Domonic Brown has been named NL Player of the Month for May. Brown has also been NL Player of the Week for two weeks in a row, because seriously, how is anything better than this?

You've all heard and read and seen Domonic Brown's May stats. They are at once glorious and thrilling and unrelentingly weird. He hit .303/.303/.688 with 12 home runs and no walks. That's strange and awesome, all wrapped up in a Domonic Brown sized package.

The rest of the world seems to be catching on to Brown, as approximately a million articles have been written about him recently -- including at least three just today. Our own Joecatz wrote about Dom last week. Read it, won't you?

Domonic Brown is pretty much the awesomest, guys. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to spend the rest of my afternoon watching clips of him playing baseball. He's pretty good at that, I hear.
