Reading Rainbow...somewhere Levar Burton is smiling.

Rochester 6, Lehigh Valley 3

Zach Miner - 4 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 5 K, HR, 2 GB, 3 FB
Phillippe Aumont - 1 IP, 0 R, 2 K
Leandro Castro - 1 for 4 (fielding error)
Freddy Galvis - 1 for 4, R, K
Cody Asche - 1 for 4, R, 2B, 2 K
Cody Overbeck - 1 for 4, HR, 3 RBI
Matt Tolbert - 0 for 4, K
Cameron Rupp - 0 for 3, 2 K
Tyson Gillies, 1 for 3

A few takeaways from this game. Cesar Hernandez appears to be hurt as he hasn't played in the past few games. Matt Tolbert makes the double jump from Clearwater. Granted he is 31 and was tearing up single A pitching. Apparently, Zach Miner is starting games again, which I'm going to guess is due to Raul Valdes being called up. Aside from that, there wasn't a lot of takeaways from this one. Asche with an extra base hit, call him up. Overbeck provides the only runs. Lehigh drops 3 of 4 in the series and puts them 5.5 back in the division and 3.5 in the wildcard.

Reading 3, New Britain 1

Austin Wright - 7 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 10 K (!!!), HR, 3 GB, 4 FB
Zach Collier - 1 for 4, R, K
Maikel Franco - 0 for 3, K
Kelly Dugan - 1 for 3, R, 3B, 2 RBI
Sebastian Valle - 1 for 3, 2B, RBI
Anthony Hewitt - 0 for 2, BB, K

This wasn't exactly the outcome I'd expect from this matchup of a struggling Phillies pitching prospect and a former Phillies pitching prospect. Austin Wright goes out and only gives up a solo home run and strikes out 10 batters. I don't know his career high for strikeouts in a game, but I'm going to guess that is right up there. On the opposite side, the Phillies see Trevor May again. He went 7 innings and gave up all 3 runs while striking out 8. May has had a very up and down season. Control is still an issue for the kid. Franco's numbers are slowly coming back to earth, which was expected. That power we saw in Clearwater seems to have disappeared against stronger pitching.

Fort Myers 8, Clearwater 0

Hoby Milner - 6 IP, 10 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, HR, WP, 7 GB, 8 FB
Jiwan James - 3 for 4, 3B, K
Aaron Altherr - 1 for 4, 2B, K (fielding error)
Chris Serritella - 0 for 4, K

Threshers get blanked by the best team in the FSL. Milner gets rocked with 10 hits. Milner had strung together 4 starts where he was slightly above average. James with 3 hits to bring his FSL average up to .313 in 48 at bats. Clearwater is treated this series by getting to see Twins super-prospect Byron Buxton, who launches a homer in the game. He is widely considered the best hitting prospect in all of minor league baseball.

Greenville 5, Lakewood 4

Jon Prosinski - 5 IP, 8 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 K, HR, 6 GB, 4 FB
Brian Pointer - 0 for 5, K (fielding error) (outfield assist)
Larry Greene - 1 for 4, 2 R, HR, BB, 2 K, SB
Willie Carmona - 1 for 5, R, RBI
Mitch Walding - 1 for 5, 2 RBI, 2 K
Carlos Tocci - 1 for 4, K (outfield assist)

Lakewood loses a heartbreaker in extras. In the top of the 12th Blueclaw pitcher Zach Cooper gives up a walk, single and a double to score a run to go up. Larry Greene showing off his power and speed this game, which is quite exciting. Keep it up!

Williamsport 4, Auburn 1

Drew Anderson - 5 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 0 ER, BB, 5 K, 5 GB, 3 FB
Gustavo Martinez - 2 for 4, R, K, CS
Andrew Knapp - 0 for 4, 3 K
Zach Green - 2 for 4, R, 2B, RBI
Dylan Cozens - 2 for 4, 2 R, 2 2B, RBI, CS
Gabriel Lino - 1 for 4 (passed ball)
Logan Pierce - 0 for 2, RBI, BB, K (fielding error)

Drew Anderson with one of his best starts on the season. Big games from Green and Cozens help the Crosscutters to a win.

GCL Phillies, GCL Blue Jays (postponed due to rain)
