Mercy: Phillies at Tigers Game Thread, July 28, 2013

Three cheers for the off day on Monday.

Rick Osentoski-US PRESSWIRE

If there is one thing to look forward to, it's that this is the Phillies' last game in Detroit. Nothing can change that, win or lose. Hoo boy, have they done some losing lately. They've lost seven straight games while scoring very few runs in the process.

At least they get to leave Detroit at the end of today's game.

Jonathan Pettibone has a higher ERA than the Tigers' starter, Rick Porcello. We'll see how much good that does.

Cheer up -- tomorrow is an off day!

Discuss the awesomeness of the off day and the game in the comments below.
