This could be it. This start could be the start the breaks Jeff Locke. Remember him? I do, and not just because he's on both of my fantasy teams. (Surprise! I'm not doing very well in either league! I know you're shocked!) Locke's start against the Phillies at the end of April was when things clicked into place for him, and he hasn't looked back. But the thing is, Jeff Locke has never been this good before. He could have finally figured things out at the major league level. Or, he could be a time bomb of suck just waiting to go off. I'm going to hope it's the latter, and that tonight is when the fuse runs out.
John Lannan will face off against Jeff Locke. Lannan is coming off of a really fantastic start. He allowed one run over seven innings against the Dodgers. Of course, he could have allowed many, many more, as his teammates gave him 16 runs of support. Of course Lannan had his best outing of the season when he didn't need to. That is the 2013 Phillies in a nutshell.
