Gwinnett 5, Lehigh Valley 4

Tom Cochran - 5 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 1 ER, 4 K, 8 GB, 1 FB
Phillippe Aumont - 1.2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, K
Freddy Galvis - 2 for 4, R, K (fielding error, throwing error)
Steve Susdorf - 2 for 4, R
Josh Fields - 1 for 3, R, RBI, K
Cody Overbeck - 1 for 4, 2 RBI, 2 K
Leandro Castro - 0 for 4 (fielding error, outfield assist)
Cameron Rupp - 0 for 4
Tyson Gillies - 2 for 4, R, 2 K, SB

Lehigh Valley fails to sweep the 4 game series in this finale and remain 1.5 games back in the wildcard.  Cochran with an otherwise good start that wasn't helped by the defense.  After pitching a scoreless 7th inning, Aumont would be left in for the bottom of the 8th and give up the go ahead run.  It's hard to find very many positives about Aumont this season.  Gillies has been very strong in this series, going 6 for 11 with 2 doubles and a walk.  The Lehigh Valley offense has taken some hits with the loses of Ruf and Asche.

Lakeland 4, Clearwater 0

Hoby Milner - 7 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, 10 GB, 6 FB
Carlos Alonso - 1 for 4, K
Aaron Altherr - 0 for 4
Chris Serritella - 0 for 4
Cameron Perkins - 0 for 3, K
Brock Stassi - 1 for 3, 2B, 2 K
Harold Martinez - 0 for 3

The Threshers get 4-hit in this game with only 1 runner reaching 2nd base.  Milner was his usual self, tons of hits, walk a couple and maybe strike out some guys.  The strikeouts haven't been there lately however and obviously not this game.  In what has been a breakout season for Altherr has turned rather cold.  He has been pretty dreadful as of late and is 6 for his last 37.

GCL Phillies 6, GCL Yankees1 2

Alejandro Arteaga - 5 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 4 GB, 5 FB
Herlis Rodriguez - 2 for 3, R, 2B, picked off
Cord Sandberg - 1 for 4, 2B, RBI
JP Crawford - 1 for 3, R, 2B, RBI, BB, SB
Nick Ferdinand - 1 for 3, R, 2B
Wilmer Oberto - 2 for 4, R, RBI
Robinson Torres - 2 for 4, HR, 3 RBI
Jose Pujols - 1 for 3, R, K
Jan Hernandez - 1 for 3

GCL Phils keep rolling along and are 12-6 in their last 18 games.  The offense has really hit their stride.  Arteaga with a good start this time around.  He is 3-2 on the season now with a 3.79 ERA.  Robinson Torres blasts his 2nd on the year.  The 2nd baseman has picked up his play lately (.290/.353/.484 2HR, 3 BB in his last 10 games).
