Last night's game was pretty great, right? So awesome. It's quite jarring to think that just two years ago, a game like that was the norm. Now, it's a rarity. A precious commodity not to be wasted. It must be praised and nurtured and encouraged to grow so it will sprout little seedlings of good baseball that instead of flowering to maturity will wither and die on the branch of the 2013 Phillies.
Oh, 2013 Phillies. For you we lower the bar until playing competent baseball and not embarrassing yourselves are all we require. You are the limbo champions of the universe.
Ethan Martin, fresh off his first major league win, will face off against Kris Medlen tonight. Hopefully Martin won't need 90+ pitches to finish off 5 innings.
