More painful: the bad sunburn I got today, or watching Kyle Kendrick try to survive Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers?

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

Kyle Kendrick had a really great April. He ended that month with a 2.41 ERA. From that point on, everything began their slow climb northward. He hasn't had a monthly ERA below 4.00 since. He made five starts in July, and his ERA for that month was a staggeringly bad 7.36. August hasn't been much better at all.

That's pretty bad. That's actually really bad. Kind of terrible, even. Perhaps Kyle Kendrick should think about not pitching so badly. Does he remember how great it was back in April when he was pitching well? How much everyone liked him? I'm sure he doesn't want to go back to the way it was before. Japan is still an option, Kyle.
