The 2013 season is rapidly drawing to a close. There are 24 games left. The veterans are old, the new guys are young, it makes sense to rest the vets and let the newbies play it out since these games mean next to nothing besides draft position.
That's probably what this lineup means, right?
Hernandez 4, Galvis 6, Frandsen 3, Ruiz 2, Ruf 7, Asche 5, Mayberry 9, Martinez 8, Martin 1

Yes, that is Cesar Hernandez, Freddy Galvis, Darin Ruf, and Cody Asche all playing behind Ethan Martin. And there's a little platoon player/bench guy magic sprinkled in there, with a Carlos Ruiz cherry on top.
That is less a lineup and more a collection of nine baseball players. Or perhaps they're a dance team. An accounting firm. Four-on-four with the guy nobody likes (Martinez) as referee. They could be a calendar searching for their last three months. How about an acapella group? The Base-Notes.
Discuss what this collection of nine dudes could be in the comments below. Oh, and the game, too.
